I grew this cultivar from you last year and it did very well. I started the seeds I recently purchased under grow lights and they have germinated and are waiting for me to transfer them to individual cells. They will move to a cold frame with heating coil and eventually to cold frame with no heat. I will then plant them in my yard sometime in early May.

These were also attacked by the squirrel. They never lasted. I ordered them again and they did not grow. This time I used repellent on the outside of the container and the ground around it. The squirrel did not come back, these just did not grow. I was disappointed because I thought they looked like they would be very pretty. Also it has been a very, very hot and dry summer. I water early in the am and had to water again after the sun goes down because my soil moisture tester shows many of my plants as very dry.

Love these lobelia flowers except this year they germinated and grew to about an inch high and then something ate all of the sprouts. Got lucky last year though. They're great for hanging baskets and pots. Maybe I'll have better luck next year.

Very good germination rate. Seeds are quite tiny so seedlings are fragile. But I have a few seeded in pots outside that are coming along.
