Turned my bed into a farm field

I am a beginner and I will admit that I did not do much weeding to control and manage the growth. However, between the birds and everything else my front bed turned out looking like a farm field with the millet dominating more than anything else. I have some cosmos and marigolds here and there, a tiny bit of wheat and a few coneflowers, one sunflower, and none of the other plants. Again, the birds might have eaten the seeds before they had a chance to sprout (I covered the seeds with some straw to prevent this). Overall, I do not like the millet in this seed mix at all.
