With vivid color, 'Black Magic' makes great dried or cut flowers, while edible petals make a stunning garnish to salads, crudités platters, or dinner plates. Bachelor's button, also called cornflower, will "naturalize"; it self-sows for another crop of flowers the following season, and birds love the seed heads!

Winter sown on 02/09 and bursting thru the hole in the bottle on 03/22. The bottle is half black magic and half another variety. Very pleased so far. First time growing these and first time winter sowing.

Started in a milk gallon outside at the beginning of March and they are growing tall and strong. I will be transplanting them into the garden very soon . Looking forward to the beautiful blooms!
