Boy was I glad to see these lupine take off year two. I grew them from seed (obviously) early 2023 and transplanted spring 2023. They grew but only leafed out, no blooms. I was discouraged and thought I’d not given them a sunny enough location. They came back this year, bloomed voraciously and grew to 3-4’. However, I got only purple blooms, which I love, so no worries. A big wind storm leveled them so I had to prop them up. Zone 8b, WA state.

I love the quality of seeds from Botanical Interests. I had a 100% germination rate with the Lupine seeds. I planted my four plants in the fall and 3 came back this spring. They even are blooming already! Lots of other gardeners in the area have had trouble with Lupines. Couldn't be happier with this addition to my cottage style garden.
