Special Care: In the fall when tops die after frost, cut off foliage, and tubers may be dug and stored in a cool, dry place until planting in spring. In climates where the soil does not freeze, plants can be grown as perennials. Plants reseed easily, but seedlings do not like to be crowded; make sure seedlings get thinned to 12"-24" apart when they are 2" tall (as you would when starting them from seed. Water frequently during hot weather.

Had never heard of this flower before buying the seeds, now will buy more! Easy to grow, sowed directly in a raised bed, all germinated. Beautiful colors - magenta, yellow and pink swirl, white, white and yellow swirl, pink and yellow. Scent is lovely and like jasmine.

This turned out to be huge and absolutely beautiful. I planted them alongside dahlias that were taller and they compliment them very well. Prolific flowering! Constant color even when they are closed during the warmer part of the day.
