Beautiful and delicious in salads! It germinates and grows very well in my hydroponic setup. The color is more vibrant the more light it gets. Leaves that aren’t hit by direct light tend to stay green.

Similar to Little Gem Romaine in size, the red/green leaves of Rouge d'Hiver are a great addition to any salad. I planted these seeds Sept 15 in the Atlanta area and 6 weeks later I am harvesting for salads. I will definitely be purchasing this colorful romaine for my spring/summer garden.
