Over the Top Impressive

5 out of 5 stars Aug 26, 2018
This packet has produced an over the top impressive garden! It is full of a variety of vibrant colored flowers and green foliage. What was once a dull area in our yard has been brought to life by two packets of seeds. Aside from humming birds, I was surprised at the number of butterflies. We plan to triple the order for next year!

Love, Love, Love

This mix has so many cool flowers in it, and the Flowering Tobacco smells amazing first thing in the morning and late in the evening. We definitely had more hummingbirds when I planted this mix, as well as more butterflies. A lot of the flowers self-sowed and came back the following year. I have a fairly "wild" looking vegetable garden, so I love it when flowers surprise me in random places the following year. I would recommend not sowing this mix too heavily. Some of the flowers (coral bells, foxglove, spider flower, red-hot poker) never came up, I think because the quicker growing plants over-crowded everything.

Just re-ordered another packet. Planted these in a little rectangular bed by themselves and they went to town! Yellow, Red, Pink, Purple, Orange, Pale Yellow, like a wildflower bouquet! Just love them!

Hummingbird Mix

Impressive plants & flowers kept producing all spring & summer, and hummingbirds loved them. Hard to keep sone plants perfectly healthy with so many 100 degree days this summer. Planted in a hanging basket with partial sun. Some of the plants were really too tall for this to work perfectly. All shorter plants would have been preferable.

Looked forward to many blooms, none

Owner Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you had trouble with this flower mix. You've left several disappointed reviews on flower mixes today, many with the complaints of few blooms here in July. These flower mixes would still be maturing at this point and there will be very many more blooms to come unless of course the soil needs to be improved or they are not getting enough/too much water. We would love to help you get growing. Our seeds are tested by a third-party laboratory to ensure germination rates meet federal and our own standards. It often just takes a little trick to get that same, great results at home also. We are always here to help!

so many seeds germinated

I did winter sowing with this package. I was able to fill three Milk jugs and could have done more. So many seeds have germinated and I can't wait to see them all in a few months.

Flower color mishap

Unfortunately, the hollyhocks I've planted became white, not dark colored like the package said. Very disappointed. Your seed packets are mostly wonderful.

wonderful planter box mix

This seed mix is wonderful in my planter box! My box is 2 feet deep, 4 feet long and the 10 gram packet produced a dense growth of an array of flower species. Planted in late February in Fort Worth, Texas, and I still have showy flowers at the end of June. Attracts a variety of pollinators and provides shade for other insects.

Explosion of endless color

Love love love!!! So many stages of showy color and so many beautiful blooms. The flowering tobacco smells divine and the hollyhocks grew tall and haven't stopped blooming (they were bubblegum pink color not dark but that's fine by me!). I will grow these for years to come. Quite excited for next year since some of the flowers in this mix are perennial second year bloomers. Every morning and early evening we have several hummingbirds enjoying this mix, so glad to give them a real nectar source. Tons of butterflies and wonderful bees all day long as well!
