Growing Info

Harvesting: Shelling peas should be harvested when the pods are plump, about 3 weeks after flowering. Peas that are too mature are tough and will cause the plant to stop producing; therefore, harvest regularly when pods are at their peak. Use scissors to harvest or hold vine with one hand and pick the pods with the other; vines are fragile.

Two year old seeds germinated in 5 days!

This plant produces some of the best peas I've ever eaten! I have raised garden beds and a small area so I need compact/dwarf plants. This one fit in just fine. Even better than that, I just planted two year old seeds and they all germinated in 5 days. I love Botanical Interests seeds! I see this time and time again from older seeds I've purchased here, all different types of plants. Amazing.

I’m a beginner gardener and I have found the seeds to germinate fine. I’ve only had problems with one seed variety and it was my error; so I’d encourage you to read the requirements that are provided for each seed to ensure germination success.
