Flamingo Celosia Seeds

Celosia spicata

Also called wheat celosia, these colorful plants add a lovely vertical element to the flower border and make a statement when grown in a large container. The pretty, rosy-pink, soft flower spikes have an intriguing texture that nearly begs passersby to reach out and touch them. It is especially interesting to watch the bases turn silvery as they mature. Excellent cut flowers for fresh or dried arrangements.

    Hey Linda,

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with our Flamingo Celosia Seeds! We absolutely love hearing that these beautiful spikes are performing so well as cut flowers in your vases - that's one of the things that makes celosia such a fantastic choice for flower gardens! You're so right about those gorgeous varying shades within each flower - it really does make every single bloom unique and special. And the long-lasting quality is just the cherry on top! These were very easy to grow. I planted them in June. At 1st I only saw very faint peaks of pink mostly white but as they began to mature they started to change color. They are looking their best in October. Very happy with this purchase. For reference I live in Palmdale, Ca. The summers are very hot and they did wonderful during the heat weave we had this year.
