    Poppies in Dallas

I planted these in my raised bed garden in October here in Dallas, TX. They survived in spite of drastic weather changes including ice ( I covered the garden during the ice storm) and warm dry weather. Love the bright yellow, rose pink, and pale pink blooms! Hoping they reseed , but I bought more seeds for next year just in case. I love the Mission Bells poppies in this specific color blend!

    Hey Bonnie,

We're absolutely thrilled to hear about your gorgeous Mission Bells California Poppies blooming so beautifully in Dallas! What a testament to both your gardening skills and these hardy little flowers that they not only survived that crazy Texas weather but are putting on such a stunning show with those bright yellows, rose pinks, and pale pinks. Smart thinking covering them during the ice storm - that extra care really paid off! It sounds like you've got the perfect setup going, and we love that you're already planning ahead for next year. Here's hoping you get some natural reseeding as a bonus! Keep on growing 🌻️
