    Slow and steady

The seeds were slow to germinate but doing well. I started them inside and will plant soon. I’m in zone 4b so still not ready to plant out.

    Hey Debi,

Thank you so much for this honest 3-star review of the Orange Sun Sweet Pepper Seeds! It's great to hear that even though they took their time getting started, they're doing well now - sometimes the best things are worth the wait!

You're absolutely doing the right thing starting them inside, especially in zone 4b. Peppers can definitely be a bit slower to germinate than some other seeds, but once they get going they usually reward that patience with some fantastic harvests. It sounds like you've got the timing down perfectly for your growing zone.

I hope when you do get them transplanted outside they really take off for you! Orange Sun peppers are such a treat when they're ready - that sweet flavor and beautiful color make them worth every day of that slow start.

Thanks for sharing your experience with fellow gardeners - it's helpful for others to know that these seeds might need a little extra patience but are still worth growing. Keep on growing 🌻️

    0% Germination

I love Botanical Interests and have never had an issue with any of my seeds. However, I was super disappointed with this pepper variety as none of the 20 seeds germinated. I have grown peppers from seed in the past and I am very familiar with pepper seed germination requirements, but these stubborn guys did not budge!

Will have to try out another pepper variety and perhaps from a different supplier.

Consistent Germination, Productive Plants, Tasty Peppers

I grow these indoors all winter, then transplant them out into my Michigan Zone 6A garden with impressive results. The plants are healthy and strong enough to support clusters of good sized blocky peppers that taste really sweet when fully ripened to vibrant orange. I use large tomato cages for support. I grow these strictly for fresh eating, and they never disappoint. I still have seeds from my 2022 packet that have near 100% germination.
