Alaska Variegated Nasturtium Seeds

Tropaeolum majus

Nasturtium's large, pebble-like seeds are easy to plant, and it's amazing to watch the plants quickly grow. It's also fun to watch your guests' surprise as they ponder whether or not to eat the edible, peppery flavored flowers atop their salads, or garnishing their dinner plates.

    Nasturtiums

I love these variegated nasturtiums. Even when not flowering they are beautiful because of the leaves. I find they benefit from some shade and consistent moisture here in Kansas.

    Hey Alice K.,

What a fantastic review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that your Alaska Variegated Nasturtiums are bringing you so much joy, even when they're not in bloom!

You've really captured one of the most wonderful things about these variegated nasturtiums - those absolutely gorgeous leaves are truly stunning all on their own! The beautiful cream and green variegation creates such a lovely display that it's almost like having ornamental foliage and flowers all in one plant. It's so satisfying when you find a variety that gives you that extended season of beauty, not just during flowering time.

Your growing tips about shade and consistent moisture in Kansas are going to be so helpful for other gardeners, especially those dealing with similar hot, dry conditions! It's great insight that these nasturtiums appreciate a little protection from the intense sun and benefit from that steady watering routine. Many people think of nasturtiums as drought-tolerant (which they can be), but you've found that sweet spot for keeping them really thriving and looking their absolute best.

We love that you've discovered how to make these Alaska Variegated Nasturtiums truly excel in your specific growing conditions! Your experience really shows how a little attention to their preferences can make such a difference in both the foliage quality and overall plant performance.

Thank you so much for sharing such wonderful insights about both the beauty and care of these special nasturtiums!

    Keep on growing 🌻️
