Arugula/Rocket Seeds

Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa

Arugula's flavor has been described as peppery, mustardy, and hot with a hint of tartness. It adds such an exciting, interesting flavor to salads. Most often eaten raw in salads but also steamed or added raw to many other dishes such as pizza. Tender baby greens are ready in 20– 28 days, at 2"–4" tall. Also a good container variety.

    nice arug

Good crop, but not too much arugula per plant.

    Hey Clay,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with the Arugula/Rocket Seeds! I really appreciate your honest feedback about the plant yield.

It's great to hear that you had a good crop overall! You're absolutely right that arugula plants tend to be on the more compact side - that's just the nature of this leafy green. The good news is that you can always plant them a bit closer together to maximize your harvest in the same space.

Thank you for sharing your growing experience and for that solid 4-star rating! Keep on growing 🌻️

    Very hearty

Planted this last year. I’m in middle TN. It never froze. Is behaving like an annual despite winter temps down into the 20’s. Fabulous to have fresh greens so early!

    Hey Rhett,

We're thrilled to hear your Arugula/Rocket Seeds have been such a winter warrior for you in middle TN! That's amazing that they survived those 20-degree temps and are still going strong - what a testament to how hardy these greens really are! There's nothing quite like having fresh, peppery arugula available so early in the season when most gardens are still sleeping. Sounds like you've got the perfect setup for year-round fresh greens! Keep on growing 🌻️

We love Epic Gardening at my house. We grow in our Birdies beds, and I start most of my seeds with the 6 and 16 cell trays. All of the seeds I’ve bought from Botanical Interests have great germ rates and grow into healthy plants. Great online store with top notch products, awesome customer support, inspiring and informative videos—I love that I can get all of that from one company. Cheers.
