I sowed these two weeks ago so that I can plant them out at the end of summer. They can bloom the first year from seed if you start early enough in late winter, but bigger and more consistently if they get in the ground in fall.
A favorite fairytale garden plant. I'm sure I had near 100% germination. The hardest part is not using all of the eager seedlings that sprout.

These biannual seeds REALLY pay off the second year. Profuse blooms, large blooms, and tall plants! 48" in height, with dozens of blooms per stalk. Deadhead for repeated blooms.
The only 'negative' is that I'm only seeing white flowers. I'd definitely buy more.
