About Epic Grow Light with Tray

Grow strong, healthy seedlings indoors all year long. The Epic Grow Light with Tray gives your garden the best possible start with bright, energy-efficient LEDs designed specifically for seed starting and early plant growth. You’ll get quicker germination, sturdier seedlings, and less leggy growth, all without driving up your energy bill.

A built-in, watertight bottom tray makes watering easy and mess-free and holds up to twelve 6-cell trays or eight 4-cell trays. The light delivers even, consistent light across your entire tray, helping every seedling grow strong, not just the ones in the center. With a low-profile design that fits neatly on your countertop, you can grow where it’s most convenient for you.

The adjustable height lets the light grow with your plants. Start it close to your seeds, then raise it as seedlings mature for easy, ongoing care. Setup takes just minutes, and the built-in timer removes the guesswork by giving your plants the right amount of light every day.

Bright enough for healthy growth yet comfortable in a home environment, this countertop-friendly grow light makes indoor growing simpler, cleaner, and more successful for gardeners of all experience levels.

Why We Love It

Built-In Tray: An all-in-one base that supports bottom watering, consistent moisture and mess-free growing. No extra accessories required.

Easy Set-Up: Twist the legs into the light and tray, plug it in, and start growing.

Low-Profile Design: Fits neatly on countertops and under cabinets without taking over your space

Adjustable Height: Raises from 7.1“ to 20.9“ so you can keep the light close as your seedlings grow.

Full-Spectrum LEDs: Designed for seedlings and early plant growth.

Energy-efficient Design: Uses less power than traditional fluorescent grow lights.

Built-In Timer: Helps your plants get consistent light every day automatically.

Made to fit Epic Trays: Works perfectly with Epic 6-Cell and 4-Cell trays for a complete seed-starting setup.

Perfect For: Indoor gardeners of all skill levels. Start veggies, grow herbs, or raise seedlings through the winter.

How to Use

Getting Started:

  1. Assemble and place the light over your seed tray.
  2. Plug it in, set the timer, and turn it on.
  3. Keep the light close as seeds sprout, then raise it as seedlings grow.

For newly started seedlings: Set the light to the lowest setting above your sprouts after they emerge. Then adjust the height to the tallest setting as your seedlings grow taller.

For small houseplants: Set to whichever setting keeps the light at least 6 inches above your plant’s leaves. Offset the light for those plants that require bright, indirect lighting.

How to Clean Your Epic Grow Light with Tray: Do not immerse the LED panel in water. Instead, spot clean the surface with a damp cloth as needed.

FAQ

Q: Will this burn my seedlings?

A: No. The LEDs are designed for seedlings and produce bright light without excess heat so you can place it close to your trays.

Q: Is it hard to set up?

A: Not at all. Just screw in the legs, plug it in, and place it over your plants. The light has a simple on/off operation so it works right out of the box. No tools or batteries required.

Q: Does it use a lot of electricity?

A: This is an extremely energy-efficient LED system. It’s engineered to use significantly less power than traditional fluorescent grow lights but still provide bright, full-spectrum lights to encourage successful plant growth.

Q: Will it fit in my home?

A: Yes. The low-profile design is made for countertops, shelves, and small indoor spaces so it’ll blend seamlessly into your kitchen or grow nook.

Q: Can I use it for more than one season?

A: Absolutely. LEDs are long-lasting, so you’ll get many seasons of use.

Q: Is the light too bright for my home?

A: The light is bright enough for plants but still comfortable in a home environment. Most gardeners prefer to place it in their kitchen, plant shelf, or laundry room.

Q: Can beginners use this?

A: Definitely! It’s intentionally designed for all skill levels. The ease of use is great for first-time growers to build confidence and see success early in their indoor gardening journey.

Q: When should I transplant my seedlings?

A: Transplant your seedlings when they are 3 to 4 inches tall. At this point, they are ready for exposure to outdoor conditions.

Plastic to attach to screw broke

Plastic to attach arms to screw broke. I ended up attaching lights to my table with garden wire. That worked better to hang the lights.

    Came broken.

The light seems fine, the tray seemed great, too bad the stand legs were broken. Maybe not a connection that should plastic, since other reviews mention the same issue.

    Amazing customer service

I posted a three star review I don’t know how to edit due to the piece being broken on arrival but customer service reached out and had the replacement out to me super quickly. I am impressed and will continue to support this company.

    A little dissapointed

So far I'm not super impressed with this setup. The light feels flimsy and when installing it one of the legs broke immediately, I reached out and they sent a replacement immediately which was wonderful, but the more I used it the less I liked it, it was difficult to raise and lower without feeling like it would break. I also couldn't tell how to set the timer on it. It says just plug it in and turn it on and it has a built in timer, but when using it it has definitely been on from morning until late night, so it's either broken or unintuitive. I think I may go another route looking for a grow light. I have the heating pad and trays and those are great and seem good quality but the light is pretty bad.
