About Epic Grow Bags - Lined

Our BPA-free grow bags are great for growers with small spaces. The unique liner system allows the soil to retain moisture while still encouraging air pruning, creating a denser, more fibrous rootball. Our lined grow bags are great throughout the hot, dry summer months. A lot of sunlight? No problem. The grow bag and liner are UV-treated for long-term use. Each grow bag has a unique retaining strip to keep drip lines organized and neat.

Crops like lettuce and herbs will thrive in our 5-gallon bags. Larger crops such as peppers, eggplant, and tomato can be grown in the larger 15-gallon sizes.

Growers can also utilize grow bags to produce in locations with poor soil, high weed pressure, or lack of drainage. Our bags are much thicker than average grow bags, ensuring you can grow for years worry-free. Each bag has a built-in irrigation strip that helps keep water lines neat and tidy.

Why We Love It

Having 3 vertical channels for irrigation tubing makes it easy and painless to set up irrigation no matter how you organize your grow bags. They are positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock locations on the bag with channels that keep the tubing organized making your garden look better while reducing tripping hazards.

Lined grow bags are a great solution for growers who want to add containers while reducing water use. The liner helps distribute and trap water in the soil eliminating the issue of water running out the sides of your bag during watering. The bottom quarter is unlined allowing for drainage while effectively reducing root bounding via air pruning. In warmer climates the lined bags can allow you to go more days without watering and reduce overall water stress to your plants.

    Will definitely buy more

This is the first time I’ve used grow bag and these have been exactly what I needed. Our weather has been exceptionally cool and wet this spring and then pivoted quickly to high heat. These bags have managed to keep my potatoes from getting waterlogged and I am seeing beautiful growth above the soil for my potatoes and basil. Will order some smaller bags to supplement my 15-gal bags. I set them up on a 1/2 pallet to assist with drainage due to the heavy rain.

Lots of rain, mold on the outside

I don't really have an issue with these bags, per se. I live in Texas, though, and this Spring has been super rainy. At first I had a problem with doodle bugs because the handles had curled onto the soil and the bugs were able to hide underneath them. It was hard to keep the handles off the soil. Now I've got what looks like white mold on the outside of the bags. I don't know if it's affecting anything. I haven't done anything about it, hoping that the sun will take care of it. We'll see. Otherwise I guess the bags are fine. Like most of the other grow bags out there. Buy them on sale if you can.

    Hey Margarita,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed experience with the Epic Grow Bags - Lined! I really appreciate your honest feedback about the challenges you've faced with this super rainy Texas spring.

You're absolutely right about those handles - they can be a bit tricky to manage, and it sounds like you've figured out a good solution for keeping those doodle bugs from making themselves at home underneath them!

As for the white mold on the outside, that's actually pretty common with any fabric grow bag during extended wet periods. The good news is that it's typically just surface mold and shouldn't affect your plants or the bag's performance. Your instinct about letting the sun take care of it is spot on - once you get some drier, sunnier weather, that should clear right up.

Thanks for the practical tip about buying on sale too - always great advice for fellow gardeners! We really appreciate you sticking with the bags through this challenging growing season and sharing your real-world experience.

    Keep on growing 🌻️

    great for growing my tomatoes!

These bags are great. the are sturdy and hold shape, but allow for the plants to breathe. They are working well for my tomato plants. I am considering getting more for my other plants for next year.
