I like the flavor of this variety, and the fact that the turnips grew really well despite me not thinning them at all at the beginning of the season :-) Some were bigger, while others a little smaller, but they still thrived. The roots had a mild flavor and good texture, and the seed had a high germination rate. Highly recommend!

"3 to 5 inch wide leaves"....hahaha, if turnips are given ideal growing conditions (southern FL in mid-winter, for example, with organically amended soil), leaf _surfaces_ will be well in excess of 1 foot long and 9 inches wide.
