| Growing & Harvesting | Harvest heads when they are well developed, firm, and solid when squeezed. Cut off heads at base with a sharp knife. Cabbages left in the ground beyond maturity are more subject to disease and splitting. Harvest in the morning if possible. If harvested in the heat, dunk in ice water to reduce "field heat" and increase storage time. Allow to drain before storing. |

I planted 8 seeds and all of them germinated. They're still seedlings now but that's pretty much all you can expect from the seed company, the rest is up to me!

These cabbages took longer than I expected for harvest, but they all managed to grow healthy heads that stayed fresh on the plant even when covered by a few snowfalls. The heads were tight and dense and had great color.
