Homegrown alpine strawberries are bushels above store-bought whose flavor can't compare. Wonder Blend bears small red or light yellow, intensely fragrant fruits from late spring/early summer on, taking a break in hot weather. Plants don't have runners, so they won't meander, making them a tidy, delicious border or container contender. If started indoors, you can expect fruit the first year. Replace every 3 years for best production or add a few new plants annually. Perennial in USDA zones 5–9.

    Alpine strawberries

These did alright the first year. We had fun picking the berries. I was pleased and surprised when they came back with vigor the second year. I didn’t realize they were perennial. The second year we got even more fruit. The key is to keep picking berries or they won’t produce as much. We pick them every other day. Excited to see if they continue to return.

Ordered this seed back in November of 2025. I put then in the fridge for 2 weeks and then I planted. The germination rate is pretty good!! They're all doing well, & I'm now preparing to transplant them outside. I'm in zone 8A.
